Privacy Policy
Last updated: March 19, 2026
PomoGo ("the App") is a personal project owned and developed by NAIM DRIDI PODADERA ("we", "us", or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the App on iOS or Android devices. Please read this policy carefully. By using the App you agree to the practices described herein.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information You Provide
- Anonymous Account: When you first open PomoGo, an anonymous account is created automatically (similar to a Discord-style random ID). We do not require your name, email address, or phone number to use the core features of the App.
- Onboarding Preferences: Fitness level, session type, and focus/break durations you select during onboarding are stored locally on your device and may be synced to the cloud.
- Support Communications: If you contact us via email, we may retain the content of your message and your email address to respond to your inquiry.
1.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Usage & Analytics Data: We use Firebase Analytics (provided by Google) to collect anonymized usage data such as session duration, feature usage frequency, and general app interaction patterns. This data is used solely to improve the App experience.
- Crash Reports: We use Firebase Crashlytics (provided by Google) to collect crash logs and diagnostic data. This helps us identify and fix bugs. Crash reports may include device type, operating system version, and stack traces but do not include personally identifiable information.
- Device Information: General device metadata (OS version, device model, language settings) may be collected by Firebase services for analytics and crash-reporting purposes.
2. How Your Data Is Stored
PomoGo is designed with an Offline-First architecture. All user data — including timer sessions, streaks, gamification points, and onboarding preferences — is stored locally on your device using local storage (SharedPreferences / local database). When an internet connection is available, this data may be synced to Firebase (Google Cloud infrastructure) to enable backup and cross-device continuity.
Firebase stores data in secure, encrypted servers. For more information on Firebase's data handling, please refer to Firebase Privacy and Security documentation.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the App's features and functionality.
- Personalize your experience (exercise difficulty, session durations).
- Diagnose technical issues and fix bugs via crash reports.
- Understand aggregate usage patterns to guide product development.
- Respond to your support inquiries.
4. Data Sharing & Selling
We do not sell, trade, rent, or otherwise share your personal data with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.
We may share anonymized, aggregated data with:
- Firebase / Google: Analytics and crash data are processed by Google's Firebase platform under their terms of service and privacy policy.
- Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, or legal process.
5. Third-Party Services
The App integrates the following third-party services:
- Firebase Authentication — Anonymous sign-in.
- Firebase Firestore / Realtime Database — Cloud data sync.
- Firebase Analytics — Anonymized usage analytics.
- Firebase Crashlytics — Crash reporting and diagnostics.
- Firebase Remote Config — Feature flag management.
- RevenueCat (future) — Subscription management for premium features on iOS and Android.
Each of these services has its own privacy policy. We encourage you to review them.
6. Data Retention
Local data persists on your device until you uninstall the App or clear its data. Cloud-synced data is retained as long as your anonymous account exists. You may request deletion of your cloud data at any time by contacting us.
7. Children's Privacy
PomoGo is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age of digital consent in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can delete it.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Request correction or deletion of your data.
- Object to or restrict certain processing of your data.
- Data portability.
To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at pomodorobreakfit.app@gmail.com.
9. Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
