Frequently Asked Questions

Most Pomodoro apps let you skip or ignore your breaks — PomoGo doesn't. The "Smart Dictator" is our core philosophy: when your focus block ends, the app takes over and prescribes a specific micro-workout (e.g., 10 squats, a 30-second stretch, or desk push-ups). You can rate the difficulty and the app adapts, but the break itself is non-negotiable. Think of it as a benevolent dictator that forces you to move for your own good.

PomoGo is built Offline-First. All your data — sessions, streaks, points, preferences — is saved directly on your device. You never need an internet connection to use the timer or track your progress. When you do go online, the app automatically syncs your data to Firebase so it's backed up and available if you switch devices.

No. PomoGo uses anonymous authentication — a random ID is generated for you when you first open the app (similar to how Discord assigns initial IDs). You don't need an email or password. You can optionally link a social account later for backup purposes.

Every completed focus block and break earns you points. Consecutive days of use build your streak. The longer your streak and the more exercises you complete, the more achievements and trophies you unlock. It's designed to make building healthy habits feel rewarding rather than tedious.

PomoGo's core timer and break features are free to use. In the future, we plan to offer a premium subscription with additional features such as advanced analytics, custom exercise packs, and extended personalization. Subscriptions will be managed through the App Store (iOS) and Google Play Store (Android) and can be cancelled at any time.

PomoGo includes a range of micro-workouts suited for small spaces — desk stretches, squats, jumping jacks, wall push-ups, seated leg raises, and more. During onboarding, you tell us your fitness level and any limitations. The app then tailors the exercises and intensity to match your profile. After each break, you can rate the perceived effort (RPE) so the app continuously adapts.

Since PomoGo stores data locally, uninstalling the app will remove local data. If you had an active internet connection and cloud sync was enabled, your data should restore automatically when you reinstall. If you're still experiencing issues, please contact us at the email below and we'll help you recover your progress.
